Summer is winding down and a new season means a new fabfitfun box! The fabfitfun Fall box is full of surprises. As always there are plenty of quality beauty products in the box, but the products I found the most exciting were the home goods and tech products included in the box. The only thing missing this season is a trendy piece of jewelry, while the rest of the products are fabulous I do wish a shiny bauble was tucked away in there. I would have liked to have seen one of the two skincare products in the fabfitfun Fall box swapped out for a sparkling new accessory. Besides that minor hiccup, overall, the fabfitfun Fall box 2018 is full of perfectly practical products.

To get fabfitfun subscription details, take a look at my fabfitfun FALL 2018 Spoilers and $10 Coupon post. For now, let’s talk products.

Crown Brush 6 Piece Brush Set – $75.00

fabfitfun makeup brushes

  • I’m a huge fan of Crown Brushes, when it came to choosing between this and the Vince Camuto Tote, picking the brushes was a no-brainer. Besides loving Crown brushes, I have far too many totes. Crown brushes are cruelty-free, they last, and they are super soft. I love that this set includes a sampling of brushes to create a full makeup look and that they’re organized in a travel-friendly pouch.

Alfred Teapot – $26.00

fabfitfun Alfred Tea Pot

  • I’m new to the world of Alfred, but I feel that this teapot is a fantastic introduction to the brand. The teapot I received was designed right here in California at the Alfred Tea Room. It’s ceramic with a stainless steel lid. To make tea time as lovely as possible, it has a wide-lipped infuser and dripless spout. If you’re an LA resident, you can go ahead and

CYLO COBRA Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds – $40.00fabfitfun CYLO COBRA earbuds

  • I’m loving that this piece of tech was added to the Fall box. I’m looking forward to using these wireless earbuds while doing some cardio at the gym. The look of these earbuds is so sleek and chic, I love the clean color combination of white and rose gold. For convenience and comfort, the earbuds include a neck strap and onboard controls.

Grown Alchemist Hydra-Restore Cream Cleanser – Olive Leaf & Plantago Extract – $49.00

fabfitfun Grown Alchemist Cream Cleanser

  • The first skincare product I received is a cream cleanser, I’ve tried oil cleanser, stick cleansers, and foaming cleansers, but this will be my first time testing out a cream cleanser. The formula was created to cleanse and nourish your skin, giving it a healthy, radiant glow.

  • GLAMGLOW is the leader of the pack when it comes to masks. They’re quite pricey, but they’re worth every shiny penny. I have yet to try out sheet masks from GLAMGLOW and am ecstatic to give these BUBBLESHEET masks a whirl. The 3-D microbubbles that this mask creates on your skin detoxify and invigorate your skin, giving you a glowing, purified complexion. Between these and the Grown Alchemist Hydra-Restore Cream Cleanser, my skin is going to be looking good this Fall.

touch in SOL Metallist Liquid Foil Lipstick in Penny – $25.00

FABFITFUN touch in SOL Penny

  • touch in SOL is a brand that I’ve had my eye on. I was thrilled to see that this lipstick duo was included in this season’s box so that I could try not one, but two of their shades of Metallist Liquid Foil Lipsticks. Being a Select Member, I was able to choose what shades of this product I received. I chose Penny because it’s a great combo of colors for Fall. One side of this lipstick is a metallic liquid and the other is a glittering gloss.

beautyblender – $20.00

fabfitfun beautyblender

  • beautyblenders always come in handy and being $20 each, they’re a welcome addition to any subscription box that I receive. I use beautyblenders and other similar makeup sponges on a daily basis, nothing blends better. I received the beautyblender in hot pink, besides this signature beautyblender color, the makeup blender is available in 6 additional colors.

Simply Whimsical Set of 2 Tea Towels – $14.99

fabfitfun simply whimsical

  • Simply Whimsical makes adorable Tea Towels, Aprons, Dish Towels, Glamorous Gloves and more. While I prefer the colorful patterns and illustrations on Simply Whimsical’s site, I see why fabfitfun included one of their more subdued designs. The modern look of these patterned gray tea towels would compliment any trendy kitchen.

SKIN&CO Roma & Blue in Capri Shower Gel – $22.00

fabfitfun skin and co Blue in Capri

    • Part of SKIN&CO’s Italian collection, this shower gel is inspired by Lemon Farmers in Capri, Italy. With notes of Alpine Rose, Sage, Wild Basil, and Autumn Blossom, this shower gel will be a refreshing addition to my collection of bath and body products.

Happy (almost) Fall!

fff Fall Spoilers and Coupon Cover

I love Minnetonka because their shoes are SO comfortable and cute. Usually you need to sacrifice style in order to be comfortable, but that is not the case with Minnetonka. In addition to comfort and design, Minnetonka shoes are high quality. Each pair is handmade using  high quality suede, deerskin, and/or moosehide.

My Minnetonka boots arrived in a white shoe box marked with the Minnetonka brand name. Inside my Dixon boots were wrapped in Minnetonka printed tissue paper. The inside of the shoe box lid describes Minnetonka’s journey as a company. This brand was established in 1946, giving it a 71 year run so far. It also boldly states that the Minnetonka boots are Made by Hand and Worn to Perfection. True story on both accounts.

The Dixon Boots are available in Dusty Brown and Black. I chose black because I knew they would compliment my Fall and Winter wardrobe. That being said, these boots are ideal for Fall and Winter wear but would work in the Spring and summer too. In the outfit pictured below I’ve styled the boots for Fall or Winter. I’ve paired the Dixon Boots in Black with dark gray jeans, a black sweater, and a light gray scarf.

During the Spring I’d pair these boots with tights and a long sleeve dress. Over the summer, pair them with a light and airy dress.

So, what makes the Minnetonka Dixon Boots so stylish? Well, there are several design details that I love. I love the height, cutting off right at the ankle, they’re not too high, not too low. The pleasant surprise of the colorful, printed fabric along the inside of the rims of the boots is distinctly Minnetonka.

The suede Dixon boots have inner zippers making it easy to slide them on and off. This isn’t necessarily a design detail, but it looks good and is functional. Getting back to the design, the boots feature braided wraparound suede straps. There are 3 straps on each boot.

Minnetonka Dixon Boots in Black

The outer side of these black Minnetonka boots are adorned with silver buckles and just a little bit of fringe.

Minnetonka Ankle Boots

I found that these boots run true to size. I normally wear a size 7 and requested a pair of these boots in a size 7. They fit me perfectly. I wore them with athletic ankle socks, anything thicker would make the boots too tight.

The boots were easy to put on and take off, they were also very comfortable. I wore these throughout the morning and into the afternoon while having some family fun on a beautiful Saturday in San Francisco. I did a lot of walking wearing the boots and my feet felt great the entire time. Sometimes I don’t get soreness until after I take my shoes off, even after taking the boots off when I arrived home, my feet felt comfortable.

Minnetonka Dixon Boots can be purchased at They are currently priced at $72.95 and are available in sizes 5 to 11.

In addition to these boots, I highly recommend the Ashley sandals (the middle pair of sandals shown in the photo above). I’ve had them for just over a year and they’re the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever owned. I wore them for a full day of rocking out at the Austin City Limits festival last year and felt no pain in my feet at all.

As you can see, Minnetonka makes shoes for all weather and all seasons and everyone can enjoy them: women, men, and children. I don’t know about you, but matching Minnetonka Moccasin Slippers for the whole family sound like a marvelous Holiday gift! They’d be fun to wear for Holiday photos too!

Kohls Department Stores Inc

Whatever the weather is where you live, it is going to get chilly sooner or later and that means it’s time to snuggle up and dress warm! The weather is still warm here in San Francisco, warmer than it was in August! Although, I’m sure that’ll begin to change in the next few weeks. For a Fall outfit idea, take a look at how I styled this cozy gray sweater.

Gray Sweater 1

These photos are actually from my former blog, Morgan Etoile, I love this outfit so much that I wanted to re-post these pics and inspire you, the lovely readers of my new blog!

Gray Sweater 3

For a moderate Fall day, wear this outfit as is. For a brisk Winter day, add a jacket or coat, scarf, and gloves. The heavier the coat, the warmer you’ll be! Thick socks under your knee-high boots will help keep you toasty too.

Gray Sweater 4

The time to visit pumpkin patches may have come to a close, but that just means that Holiday festivals and gatherings are coming! I like this outfit for drinks the night before Thanksgiving, grabbing a cup of coffee with friends, or enjoying the spectacle of some holiday lights.

Gray Sweater 2

Pair this look with a deep red lipstick and a simple cat eye, like I did in the first photo shared in this post.

What I’m Wearing:

  • Hat – Urban Outfitters
  • Earrings – Henri Bendel
  • Top – LC Lauren Conrad
  • Jeans – Express
  • Shoes – ShoeDazzle.

I know we’re all ready for the holidays, but let’s stop, relax, and enjoy Fall for a minute more!

Have a great weekend!
