Enjoy A Cup Of Pumpkin Spice Tea
Let me just start by saying, a Pumpkin Spice Latte is an acceptable substitute for Pumpkin Spice Tea. Caffeine tends to make me anxious so I need to limit my caffeine intake which is why I prefer tea. Sitting down with a warm cup of Pumpkin Spice Tea while reading my favorite blogs is my ideal way to start my day. So far this fall, I’ve been doing this almost every morning!
Visit a Pumpkin Patch
Visiting a pumpkin patch may not seem like a way to practice self-care, but it can be if you enjoy going to pumpkin patches! I do and spending a warm sunny Saturday or Sunday at a pumpkin patch is a great way for me to boost my happiness and fully embrace the season. I’ve visited two so far.
Curl Up On The Couch With A Warm Blanket
Being able to comfortably wrap myself up in a blanket is something that I miss during the hot summer months. Wrapping myself in a soft, warm blanket, and ideally snuggling with my dogs, gives me such a warm and cozy feeling. It’s one of my favorite ways to practice self-care during the fall.
I find that this is a great way to unwind at the end of the day. I challenge you to take lounging on the couch a step further by putting down your phone while relaxing. Start a new book or read a magazine instead. I love browsing catalogs and getting a jump-start on holiday gift ideas.
Bake Pumpkin Cookies With Cream Cheese Frosting
Indulging in a fresh-baked cookie is a deliciously simple way to bring a little smile to your face. Baking the cookies with your partner, kids, or family can turn this opportunity for boosting your mood into an opportunity to spend time together. Spending time with loved ones is a wonderful way to bring them and yourself joy. I’ve made one batch so far and will be making more for my daughter’s Halloween party at school.
Carve Or Decorate A Pumpkin
During the fall I like to spark my creativity and de-stress by working with my hands and carving or decorating pumpkins. I do look forward to carving pumpkins with my family the weekend before Halloween, but honestly, I prefer decorating foam pumpkins that can be displayed in my home year-after-year. I’ve decorated several pumpkins this fall and am looking forward to carving pumpkins for Halloween soon!
