To make sure my skin maintains moisture throughout the drier Fall months, my evening skincare routine becomes my Fall evening skincare routine.

FYI, I like to use a mirror to apply skincare. I’m not blending anything together. I can’t even see the products once they are applied and absorbed, but, making sure that I apply my skincare products in an even layer is crucial. That’s why I rely on a makeup mirror even after I’ve taken my makeup off.
My Fall Evening Skincare Routine
I begin by gently rubbing an oil cleanser over my entire face, focusing on my eyes. Don’t be alarmed when you open your eyes after doing this. You’re going to look like a rabid raccoon.
Next, I rinse the facial cleansing oil and smeared raccoon-style makeup off.
Cleansing isn’t over! I cleanse again, now with my favorite facial cleanser. To prevent the occasional breakouts that I get, I like to use this one.
This may seem like overkill, but I assure you it’s not! Cleansing oils remove makeup, general cleansing products remove leftover traces of makeup, dirt, and grime.
After double cleansing, I balance my skin with a hydrating toner. I prefer toners that can be sprayed onto my face. These types of toners are easier to use. They also help make my Fall evening skincare routine a little greener by allowing me to skip out on the use of cotton pads and cotton balls.
Now, I like to moisturize my skin with a nourishing serum. Instead of moving straight from a toner to a moisturizer I like to add a serum into my routine during the drier, Fall months.
To lock it all in and really give my skin a treat I go for an overnight mask to finish off my Fall evening skincare routine. Overnight moisturizing masks absorb into my skin and continuously feed it the hydration it needs throughout the night.
A few times a week I like to add sheet masks or peel-off masks to my skincare routine. I choose masks based on what my skin visually looks like it needs. Usually, during this time of year, it needs moisture.
When adding a mask to my Fall evening skincare routine, I postpone the application of my serum and put the mask on after toning. Depending on how much essence is left on my face after using my mask, if any, I continue on or completely skip the remainder of my routine.
What is your Fall evening skincare routine? Do you switch up your skincare routine depending on the season?
