Sometimes us girls can have dips in confidence; it’s a part of being human. When things like this occur, we need to make a few small differences to give us the boost we need.

Today we are going to take a look at some incredibly simple, yet effective changes any girl can make to give herself that feeling of freshness.

New Skin Routine

We have all seen the adverts with the next great cleansers. The celebrity-endorsed products that will miraculously make us look 20 years younger and clear up acne in a quicker time than the leading competitor.

Is there any truth behind them? Well yes and no. The products do indeed work as advertised, sort of. To see the truth, we have to look at a product like Head & Shoulders. This product is advertised as an anti-dandruff shampoo. When we examine exactly what it does, in reality, it doesn’t get rid of dandruff. If you stop using the product, it comes back. 

Now, many companies will say there is no cure for it but what they don’t tell you is that if for instance, you used baby shampoo, rather than their product, your dandruff problem wouldn’t exist in 6 months.

So now we return to skincare products. They do work but only in covering the issues. Many alternative natural sources can see benefits that are far greater than a $40 face cream. 

Believe me, when I say, a brand new skin routine that will save you a fortune is a sure-fire way to make you feel incredible.

Change up the Makeup

Mixing up the makeup is a great way to not only give you a brand new lease of life, but it will also change the way others see you.

Even the most subtle of changes in our makeup can make us feel so much more incredible. We could take a minor step by deepening when it comes to lipstick, or we could even stretch to giving ourselves a more intriguing and inviting look with Eyelash Extensions

By making changes to our makeup gives us a different outlook on the day. The projection we put out of ourselves is usually received in a mirrored manner, so don’t be afraid to mix things up now and then. You will probably find it’s received pretty well.

Retail Therapy

We have all heard the phrase, but not many of us are aware that it is a legitimate thing. The most important and proven method of making us feel brand new is retail therapy.

There is very real science behind going shopping and its psychological benefits. Our brain reacts in a particular way to a visual stimulus that causes a pure form of happiness. When we find something aesthetically pleasing, we begin to make connective associations. We will add scenarios to the item much as we have memories attached to things we already own. 

All in all, taking this into account and adding it to the other tips will give you a brand new outlook on life and hopefully make you feel brand new inside and out.

    Yesss !!! As others have said my skin routine is what makes me happy and confident. Constantly buying new products and have a good collection going, my skin is always looking great and have never been as confident as I have been this year 🙂

    I loved looking at these easy, yet effective tips! As women, I agree we all have dips in our confidence. I never realized how much retail therapy actually worked until I used it when I was feeling down about myself. Immediately after, I realized how much better I felt. Changing up my makeup and skin care routine immediately make my skin clear up and I feel more awake. Thank you for touching on this very important subject!

    I change my skincare routine once in a while and I am excited every time I do! Indeed, it makes me feel brand new. Whenever I’m outside with friends and we drop by the skincare department of every mall, I giggle inside. Seeing these retail skincare products bring out the joy in me – it’s therapeutic too!     I get oddly excited after I’ve let my skincare routine go by the wayside, then pick it back up again and try something new! A little retail therapy can be refreshing too, but only if it goes well as isn’t too stress-inducing! xx
