The first thing that comes to mind is probably an eye cream. This is a great go-to solution and we’ll discuss it first. But, there are many other things that can help you get rid of bags under eyes.

How to Get Rid of Bags Under Eyes
Eye Creams
The obvious option to get rid of bags under eyes is an effective eye cream. Anything that is “de-puffing” should help. The bonus with eye creams is that they often offer more than one benefit. In addition to decreasing puffiness, depending on which eye cream you choose, it can also brighten under eye circles and decrease the appearance of fine lines. Look for an eye cream with retinol, like the one suggested below for the best results.
Try: Kate Somerville +Retinol Firming Eye Cream $85.00
Facial Roller
Facial rollers benefit not only your under eye area but your entire face. For the sake of this article, let’s focus on the benefits facial rollers give your delicate under eye area. I think facial rollers are a great option if you have very sensitive skin as they contain no creams or serums. Normally made of Jade, facial rollers provide a stimulating cooling sensation and decrease puffiness.
Try: Herbivore Botanicals Jade Facial Roller $30.00
Eye Masks
There are two types of eye masks that can help with bags under eyes.
Cold Compresses can be kept in the fridge (I currently have 3 in my fridge) and can be applied when you notice puffiness. After being chilled, wear the cold compress for about 20 minutes to decrease puffiness. Gel eye masks can also help with dark circles and dry eyes. The one recommended below is one of the ones currently in my fridge.
Try: Eye See Cooling Gel Eye Mask $12.99
Eye Masks can be placed under your eyes and used several times a week to not only decrease puffiness but help prevent it as well. The 24K gold under eye masks recommended below are particularly good. I put them on about 3 times a week to keep my under eye area looking fresh and awake.
Try: LA PURE 24K Gold Eye Treatment Masks $19.92
Eye Rollers – My Favorite Way To Get Rid of Bags Under Eyes
Another great option is using an eye roller. Personally, this is my favorite solution to getting rid of bags under eyes. Eye rollers give bags under eyes the one-two punch. They apply a serum to the under eye area using a roller ball applicator. I find that eye rollers give my under eye area an instant cooling sensation and that the roller ball facilitates drainage, de-puffing those unwanted under eye bags.

As Always, Stay Hydrated!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again and again. Drinking water and staying hydrated is one of the easiest and best things you can do to improve the appearance of your skin and take care of your body overall so drink up!

Hello Morgan,
Really it is a useful post on decreasing puffy eyes.
You have mentioned that an effective eye cream works not only against the puffiness of eye but also works against under eye circles and fine lines. My opinion is that this cream works because of the presence of vitamin k as an ingredient in the cream. We know vitamin k for dark circles works due to it’s good blood circulation. However, thanks for your informative post.
