Rock This Evening Makeup Look

A little over a week ago I rocked out to The Latent Defects live. My husband is the lead singer! Never heard of them? That’s not surprising. The Latent Defects gather a couple of times a year to play some rock covers and raise money. I wore this makeup look to Law Rocks San Francisco. Law Rocks raises funds for local non-profit organizations. This year, The Latent Defects played to raise money for the Family Violence Appellate Project (FVAP).

Law Rocks San Francisco

This was the 7th Annual Law Rocks San Francisco held at The Chapel. Law Rocks tours worldwide and will be visiting cities like London, New York City, Sydney, and Dubai. Each band that participates in this Battle of the Bands is made up of legal professionals, hence the name “Law Rocks.”

The Latent Defects were one of eight bands that performed April 25th. Unfortunately, they didn’t win. As far as talent and performance go, I think they were the best by far. But then again, I may be biased. They’ve won “Judges Choice” twice before and I predict they’ll get their 3rd win when they perform again this June.

My Evening Makeup

Back to the makeup. I wanted to do something slightly bolder than a day look, but not too over-the-top. I put on some neutral shades of eyeshadow from the Urban Decay Game of Thrones eyeshadow palette, liquid black eyeliner from Stila, and false lashes. Sticking with the neutral theme, I applied a nude, matte lipstick from Pat McGrath.

Overall, the evening was an absolute blast! Before heading into the venue, we grabbed a quick bite to eat at Curio. Curio is the restuarant/bar that is attached to The Chapel. They serve Impossible Burgers, so clearly that’s what I got! Impossible Burgers are seriously so good.

Inside the venue, we scouted out the competition and patiently waited for The Latent Defects set. In case you’re curious, this was their setlist for Law Rocks San Francisco:

  • “All The Small Things” blink-182
  • “Basket Case” Green Day
  • “You Oughta Know” Alanis Morissette
  • “Shallow” Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper
  • “Use Somebody” Kings of Leon

The Latent Defects next performance will be in June!
