Skincare simplified. When I think of Curology, those are the two words that come to mind. Curology is an online skincare brand that creates skincare products specifically for you. The concerns that you have are the concerns that Curology will address when crafting a formula for your skin. Let’s talk about my Curology superbottle formula and my Curology journey.

Curology Free Trial
To get started with my Curology journey, I first went to the Curology website. I didn’t even need to leave my house! To begin my Curology free trial, I completed the skin quiz. Next, I uploaded some photos of my skin sans makeup. That’s it!
After reviewing my results a dermatology provider prescribed my formula. My custom Curology superbottle was then shipped straight to my door.
Receiving my Treatment Plan
Before my custom Curology superbottle arrived, I received my treatment plan. It was unbelievably simple. Once you receive your treatment plan your dermatology provider will reach out to you to address your concerns. They’ll also explain your Curology treatment plan. At this point, you can reach out to them at any time with questions. Continuing with your Curology journey after your free trial expires starts at $19.95 a month + shipping and handling.
My Curology Products
With my Curology superbottle, I received a clog-free cleanser and moisturizer. These 3 products now make up my current skincare routine. Before I had a 6-10 step skincare routine depending on the time and the day. I couldn’t believe that I now only had to use 3 products in the evening and 2 in the morning. That’s it! I cleanse and moisturize in the morning. In the evening, I cleanse, apply my Curology superbottle, then I moisturize.
My Curology Superbottle
My custom Curology superbottle is made with three active ingredients: Azelaic Acid 4%, Clindamycin 1%, and Niacinamide 4%. The Azelaic Acid fights dark spots. It’s also antibacterial and antifungal. Lastly, it has pore-unclogging properties. Clindamycin is antibiotic and anti-inflammatory. It also has powerful effects against acne-causing bacteria. Rounding out my formula, the Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3. This form of vitamin B3 acts as an anti-oxidant, reducing inflammation, hyper-pigmentation, and fine lines.
My Curology Journey
After two weeks I was sent a quick questionnaire checking in on my Curology journey. I was also asked how I was liking my Curology superbottle. Re-evaluating my skin after using Curology for two weeks I noticed that my skin looked clear with no blemishes in sight. My skin tone looked bright and even. My dark spots were still apparent, but my pores did look tighter. Overall, my skin felt and looked great.
Is Curology a Good Option for You?
Curology focuses primarily on treating acne, something I’ve thankfully grown out of. I do get the occasional blemish from time to time, but acne isn’t really a skincare concern that I have at this point. I’m more concerned with reducing dark spots, preventing fine lines and wrinkles, and reducing my pore-size.
If acne is your main skin care concern, I’d recommend that you take advantage of your Curology free trial. Reducing your skincare routine to the 3 products provided could do wonders for your skin. I like the concept of Curology, I enjoyed the process of trying it, and my skin looks amazing. That being said, I’d say it’s worth a try.
Customized skincare is becoming more and more popular, what are your thoughts on it? Does Curology sound like a brand you’d like to try?
