Happy Valentine’s Day!
I love you for reading my blog! Plans or no plans, I hope you are having a lovely day. Inspired by the Valentine’s Day holiday I’ve created this evening makeup look featuring a red eyeshadow look. I think this evening makeup look is a great glam makeup look that you could wear all year round for a romantic dinner date or a night out with friends. Here is the step-by-step break down so you can try it on yourself. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this look in the comments!

Step-by-Step Red Eyeshadow Makeup Tutorial
Create the perfect, smooth canvas by applying a makeup primer.
Conceal any redness with a neutralizing color correcting concealer.
Apply and blend in a long-lasting, medium-full coverage foundation that has a natural finish.
Use concealer as necessary to cover blemishes, remaining redness, and to brighten dark undereye circles. You may want to use more than one concealer for this, one for under your eyes and one for anywhere else that needs a little concealing.
Fill in your brows as desired. I used a brow gel and a brow pencil. Brow powders are also an excellent product to use to increase volume and define your eyebrows.Â
Blend a deep red eyeshadow over your entire lid, up to the crease.
Blend a light eyeshadow shade onto your brow bone. Try a shimmery shade with a hint of pink if you have it available, otherwise, go with a shimmering champagne color.
Line your upper lash line with black liquid eyeliner and draw on a subtle or dramatic wing. Romantic dinner date? Keep it subtle. Dim lights and loud music? Dramatic is the only way to go.
Press the same deep red eyeshadow that you used on your lids into the inner corners of your eyes.
Apply false lashes.
Blend the false lashes into your natural lashes using a tiny bit of mascara.
Blend an ever so lightly purple tinted highlighter onto the tops of your cheekbones. Brush this highlighter down the top half of the bridge of your nose. Then, in a circular motion, highlight the very tip of your nose.
Give your cheeks a flush of color using a mauve blush.
Lightly blend a contouring shade below your cheeks bones, on either side of the bridge of your nose and along your hairline at the top of your forehead.
Apply a very bright, neon pink matte liquid lipstick.
Grab a small blending brush and lightly line your lips with the same highlighter used to highlight your face. This will give your lips a “neon sign” type of glow.
Make sure your look lasts well past your bedtime by spritzing on a setting spray.
The most important step of all: look in the mirror, smile, and take a moment to admire your gorgeous self!
