Celebrate the Start of Summer with a Contoured Makeup Look

Is it really time for another monthly makeup look? It is! This month’s is a bit glam and an excellent option for celebrating the start of summer. Fully contouring your face, as demonstrated in this look, will give you a gorgeous summer glow without the help of harmful UV rays. Store this look in your bag of tricks and you’ll be sizzling all summer long! ☀ 🔥

Like the makeup tutorials I’ve been sharing every month this year, this month’s look is inspired by the Too Faced Boss Lady Beauty Agenda palette. I’m re-creating the look shared for the month of May and putting my own spin on things. Don’t worry, you don’t need to own this palette to re-create this look, use similar colors as they are described in the tutorial below. If you do have the palette handy, eyeshadow names from the palette are written in parentheses.

Step-by-Step Makeup Tutorial

1.) Apply and blend in a medium-full coverage foundation that has a velvety, matte finish.

2.) Use concealer as necessary to cover blemishes and brighten dark under eye circles.

3.) Brush a fawn brown eyeshadow with a very subtle gold shimmer (I Want it All) on from your lash line all the way up to your brow bone.

4.) Press a light brown, also with a golden shimmer (Halo), onto the inner corners of your eyelids.

5.) Blend a metallic gunmetal gray (Fa La La La La) onto the outer corners of your eyelids and up into your crease.

6.) Line your upper lash line with a black (Black Tie) eyeshadow or black liquid liner.

7.) Line your lower lash line with a black pencil liner.

8.) Fill in your brows with your preferred brow gel.

9.) Brush mascara onto your upper and lower lashes.

10.) Brush a bronzer (Chocolate Soleil) along your hair line and on either side of the bridge of your nose. Continue bronzing by blending your bronzer below your cheek bones and then along your jaw line. Extend the bronzer down below your chin and onto your neck, do this on either side of your Adam’s apple.

11.) Brush, using circular motions, a light and shimmering highlighter (#Blessed) onto the apples of your cheeks and up along the outside of your eyes. Also, highlight the bridge of your nose and up above your eyebrows onto the center of your forehead.

12.) Apply any neutral colored, slightly glossy lip color onto your lips and have a gorgeous day/evening! 😊
