The juice BEAUTY Phyto-Pigments Flawless Serum Foundation is housed in a frosted glass bottle. The bottle is a cylinder with a shiny silver cap. When removing the cap, a silver pump is revealed to dispense the product.
This foundation is really runny and watery. I don’t love the runny consistency, but this does allow the foundation to be blended into your skin very easily. As the serum foundation is applied to your skin it quickly dries giving your skin an overall soft-focus, velvety finish.
INGREDIENTS & CLAIMS
Juice Beauty’s Phyto-Pigments Flawless Serum Foundation is made with organic Aloe Leaf Juice, Fruit Stem Cells, Safflower Seed Oil, and Coconut Alkanes. A full list of current ingredients can be found on JuiceBeauty.com.
The formulation of this foundation reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It doesn’t settle into fine lines and it helps maintain your skin’s moisture. This foundation is weightless and comfortable on your skin from application in the morning to removal at night. Vitamins C & E in the serum foundation help protect your skin throughout the entire day.
This foundation is vegan and cruelty free. It’s made without parabens, petroleum, propylene or butylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfates, pesticides, phthalates, artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances.
First and foremost, shake, shake, shake! The formula of this foundation does separate out so you will need to give it a good shake before applying it on your skin. In the above photos, the foundation has separated out on the left and is fully combined and ready to use on the right.
Once you’ve made sure the ingredients are completely combined, squeeze 1 and 1/2 to 2 pumps of the product onto your fingertips. This foundation can easily be smoothed onto your skin and blended in with your fingertips. I often skip my makeup sponge when applying this face makeup because I simply don’t need it.
One layer of the foundation provides a medium, very natural coverage. Two layers, what I tend to apply, gives full coverage that is still very natural looking.
To create a glowing-from-within look with this foundation, put a highlighter on and then the foundation. The highlighter will subtly shine through the foundation creating really gorgeous, glowing skin.

BAY AREA BEAUTY BLOGGER (BABB) APPROVED?
To be 100% honest with you, I hated this foundation when I first started using it. I didn’t like how watery it felt, and still don’t, I didn’t think it provided enough coverage, and overall I didn’t like how different it was from the foundation I’d been using religiously previously. But, I gave it a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th try, finding a way to make it work exactly the way I wanted it to.
After experimenting with different primers (the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer is my favorite to use with this) and discovering I needed to apply 2 layers of the foundation to get the look I wanted, I fell in love with the soft-focus, natural finish that it gave my skin. Having combination/oily skin, I do find that I need to touch-up around my nostrils (especially if it’s allergy season) or anywhere else I have a significant amount of redness later in the day.
Overall, I like the lightweight feel of this serum foundation and think it’s a great Spring/Summer foundation. Other than seasonally, this is a very good option anytime you’d like your makeup to feel a little lighter. It all depends on what you like. I like this foundation for days that I’m heading to the beach, park, running errands, etc. Really, I like it as an everyday, go-to foundation.
