A Bright and Bubbly January Makeup Look

January Makeup Tutorial

EVERY month this year I’m going to be creating a themed makeup look and giving you the breakdown to easily re-create it on yourself! My makeup looks are going to be inspired by the Too Faced Boss Lady Beauty Agenda.

As you may know, the Too Faced Beauty Agenda includes a makeup tutorial for each month of the year. When I create my looks, I’ll follow these makeup tutorials while putting my own twist on things. If you don’t have this palette, don’t worry, I’ll share each look in a way that you can re-create it with whatever makeup you do have on hand.

Let’s get started with January’s theme: Ladies Who Brunch. As it says in the Beauty Agenda:

Break the rules and have fun with your friends with a look so bubbly, it’ll make you feel rosรฉ.

Sounds delightful! Let’s create!

Step-by-Step Guide

As mentioned, this guide is inspired by Too Faced, but given to you in my own words and with my own added twists. Boss Lady Beauty Agenda palette shade names are in parentheses, just in case you do have that palette handy.

1.) Apply and blend in your favorite powder or liquid foundation.

2.) Use concealer where necessary to cover blemishes, brighten under eye circles, and/or reduce redness.

3.) Brush a sheer, shimmery white eyeshadow (Snow Day) from your crease to your brow bone.

4.) Press a deep, and preferably holographic, pink (Unwrap Me) onto your entire eyelid.

5.) Line your upper lash line and create a wing with a black eyeshadow (Black Tie) or black eyeliner.

6.) Line your waterline with a white eyeliner.

7.) Swipe on a lengthening and volumizing mascara.

8.) Fill in your brows with a brow gel.

9.) Blend a pink blush (Will You Merry Me?) onto your cheeks.

10.) Spritz on a setting spray to set your look.

11.) Apply a matte pink-brown liquid lipstick and your look is complete!

Optional: If you’d like to add some shine to your lips, top them with a shimmery and/or shiny top coat.
