What to Wear on a Beach Vacation 1

Who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day? Not me! Today I’ll share with you a perfect outfit for your next beach vacation. Christmas in Maui anyone? 😉

I bought this dress years ago and it is still a go-to when I’m packing for a beach vacation. It is perfect for those days that you’ll be by the water, but not getting wet.

Dress to Keep you Cool in Warm Weather

Being made of linen, this dress is ideal for hot weather. Linen provides more airflow than other fabrics due to its weave, this helps keep you cool while you’re wearing it.

Beach Vacation Outfit Ideas

I like to keep accessories to a minimum when heading out into the heat. Which is why I’m only wearing a simple silver bracelet with this dress.

I kept my footwear laid back and casual too, I put on a pair of Kate Spade Flip Flops. With flips flops on I can go anywhere, from lunch over the water to taking a walk in the sand.

What to Wear in Maui

Of course, I’ve got on the necessary eye protection: my blue Ray-Ban frames with transition lenses so I don’t have to switch between sunglasses and regular glasses (I’m not a fan of contact lenses).

I wore this outfit while relaxing in Lahaina during my beach vacation to Maui back in September. Lahaina, specifically Front Street, is a great place to hang out because of the location, the shops, and the restaurants. Several restaurants have patios with tables reaching out over the ocean, they’re the ideal location for drinking and dining.

The photos below are from Lahaina Fish Company, one of those spectacularly located restaurants.

I just love eating over the water!

The best salad ever? Maybe.

Side note on my salad, pictured above, it was DELICIOUS! If you dine at the Lahaina Fish Company for lunch, you must get it. I really need to find a recipe to make something similar. This salad is the Kula Strawberry and Goat Cheese Salad. Here’s the menu description:

Maui Surfing Goat Dairy chevre, “Kumu” mixed
field greens and toasted walnuts with papaya seed vinaigrette.

To make this beach-y outfit a little more festive for the holidays you could add a Christmas themed piece of jewelry and/or handbag to your look.

Whatever themed accessories you have, I’d pick two or three to add to your outfit for a subtle nod to the holidays. For example, snowflake earrings, a snowflake bracelet, and a snowman bag would look adorable together! A Christmas tree necklace would be really cute too!

Are you off to someplace warm for the Holidays or celebrating in the snow? Keep the conversation going in the comments below!
