One morning on my recent trip to Maui, I woke up knowing that I’d be going on a glass bottom boat adventure. With the possibility of getting wet high, I chose to wear a bathing suit and light cover-up.

Leaning on one of the Banyan tree’s aerial roots.
This outfit is ideal for beach vacations, because it can easily be worn so many places. Besides on a boat, I’d wear it (and did wear it) while spending the day at the beach, lounging by the pool, and checking out local shops.

Sitting in the trunk of the Banyan tree in Lahaina!
Keeping my foot wear beach and boat friendly, I opted for light and bright flip flops on my feet.
Protection from the sun is one of the most important things to consider while getting ready in the morning, no matter where you are. Being made of straw and subtly decorated with tiny pale blue stones, the floppy hat I chose to wear completed my outfit perfectly.
All photos in this post are taken at the Banyan tree in Lahaina. This Banyan tree was planted in 1873 and has rooted into 16 major trunks, apart from its main trunk. This sprawling tree covers over a half acre of land in the center of Lahaina. It’s really fascinating and if given the chance, I highly recommending visiting it!

This is all one tree! You’re not looking at multiple trees, you’re looking at the main trunk of the Banyan tree in Lahaina and its many aerial roots that have grown into trunks themselves.
