Heliotrope works with chemists to formulate natural and healing skin care products. They also consult with each client to create customized aromatherapy blends, using undiluted essential oils. Having a desire to try their products and make a connection, I contacted Heliotrope and they were kind enough to send me a gratis sample of their Rose & Nettle Daytime Face Serum.
The Rose & Nettle Daytime Face Serum has an all-natural, antioxidant blend of ingredients that work together to hydrate, protect, and rejuvenate your visage. Its formula is lightweight and can be used on all skin types. Rose calms the skin, while nettle fights wrinkles and irritation. Many ingredients, including but not limited to the rose and nettle, have an organic origin.
Other serums that I’ve tried to work into my daytime skin care routine have left my combination skin looking far too oily. I also normally have a lot of redness through my cheeks and on my chin. After using this daytime serum every morning for about a week and a half, my skin is balanced and beautifully bright. If you have oily skin, you can use this serum in place of your moisturizer. This serum is formulated for dry skin, but even with my combination skin, I’ve found that I can use it and a moisturizer or BB Cream without having to worry about excessive shininess.
To use the Rose & Nettle Daytime Face Serum, apply and work 2 or 3 pumps of serum into your skin. I’ve been using 2 pumps and that is plenty of product for me. While this serum is ideally used in the morning, it can also be incorporated into you nighttime skin care routine or after exercising. During either your daytime or nighttime skin care routine, this serum should be used after cleansing and toning. As previously mentioned, depending on the oiliness of your skin, you may or may not want to follow the use of this serum with a moisturizer.
The Rose & Nettle Daytime Face Serum can be purchased online for $42.00 at Heliotrope San Francisco. If you’d like to shop this and their other products in person, head over to their store conveniently located in The Mission at 415 Valencia Street.
I can safely say that this daytime face serum is now a staple in my morning skin care routine. In fact, I’m loving it so much that I’ve become really interested in trying several other Heliotrope products, here’s a peek at my wish list:
