BarkBox July 2017 Subscription Box Review

The BarkBox Break Down:

This monthly box of joy for your furry children includes dog toys, treats, and gifts. Specifically, each month you can expect to receive 2 toys (that area seriously durable), 2 bags of all-natural treats, and 1 chew. Each month has a fun theme, for example this month’s theme is “A Lick in Wonderland.” If your dog doesn’t like any items in the box, let BarkBox know and they’ll send you a replacement for free!

There is also a secondary BarkBox option, it’s called the Super Chewer Box. It includes 4-6 Super Chewer items and is made for dogs who need a challenge. The toys and chews are even tougher and sturdier than what’s included in the regular box. With the way our dogs quickly chew through toys, I thought they’d need this, but surprisingly they don’t!

  • $29.00 (BarkBox) or $39.00 (Super Chewer) per month.
  • $25.00 (BarkBox) or $34.00 (Super Chewer) per month with a 6-month plan.
  • $21.00 (BarkBox) or $29.00 (Super Chewer) per month with a 12-month plan.
  • There is a $5.00 shipping charge outside of the contiguous 48 states.

Value: The value of my July BarkBox was $37.00.

Shipping: The first time you order a box you can expect it to arrive in 2-8 business days in the US and in 7-12 business days if you live in the outer US or in Canada. After the initial box, your boxes will be shipped on the 15th of every month.

Cancellation: You can easily cancel your subscription on BarkBox’s website, just sign into your account, click Subscriptions, and then click Cancel Next Plan.

July BarkBox Reveal

There is a whole array of themed items that could have been included in my BarkBox, but these are the awesome items my doggies received:

  • Rare Bespectacled Hare - $12.00
  • A Most Curious Croquet Mallet - $10.00
  • We All Wag Here - $6.00
  • Chicken Nibblers – $6.00
  • Rabbit Chew $3.00

In addition to these products, there was a postcard that you could punch the middle out of to frame your pup’s face and take pics. Good luck with that! lol Here’s the best I could do:

Let me start by saying that one box is meant for one dog, but I’ll be honest, we split the one box between our 2 Boston Terriers and that works out fine. Usually, between the 2 of them, they’ll destroy one toy almost immediately, but the 2nd one will LAST. This is shocking to me because, as I mentioned, our dogs are chewers. I’ve never seen toys last as long in our house as these have. We still have a little canvas “weekender tote” toy from several boxes ago that shows no signs of being torn apart anytime soon.

All items from this month’s box, plus so much more, can be purchased at whenever you want. If you’re not interested in a subscription, just go for some treats or toys from the Bark Shop. They also sell doggie apparel, stuff for humans (mugs, apparel, books), and all kinds of gifts (for dogs and for dog people).

Bottom Line:  The toys in this box are always adorable and durable. If my dogs’ readiness and willingness to gobble down the treats and the chew included are any indication, than I’d say the snacks packed in the box are delicious too. I love it, they love it, you’ll love it!

Great review. I used to get BarkBox and then I ended up switching to the Prized Pet box that is treats only. My dogs have wayyy too many toys so I thought this was a better option and is only $16.99.
