BH Cosmetics Club Tropicana Palette Review

Club Tropicana Foil Eyeshadow Palette Review

The super bright and shimmering shades in the Club Tropicana Palette range from intense jewel tones to saturated pastels to glimmering neutrals. With that much variety you can easily use this palette to create day and night looks that pop.

These eyeshadows are highly-pigmented. That means that the color is bold and intense. When applying the purple shadow featured in the look below, I brushed on one layer of eyeshadow and got the intensity that you can see. A little goes a long way with most of these eyeshadows.

I bought this set from BH Cosmetics (Shop Now) for $12.50, as of writing this post it is going for $8.00. That is a price that cannot be beat for the quality and size of this palette.

The best way to apply this eyeshadow is with an eyeshadow brush, like this one. After applying your desired color(s) blend them together to get that seamless beauty blogger look. 😉

Another option, that I’ve been utilizing a lot with this palette, is wetting an angle brush and then using these eyeshadow colors as eyeliners. I used this technique and palette to create the blue eyeliner and gunmetal eyeliner looks that I’m wearing in the photos below.

28 Color Foil Eyeshadow Palette

Even without an eyeshadow primer, I’ve found most of these eyeshadow shades to be bright, bold, and long-lasting. After wearing the purple eyeshadow all day at a music festival that was outside, and hot, I did not experience any fade in the color or creasing. It was pretty impressive!

Some shades, on the other hand, do not perform as well. The yellow and orange do not want to stay where I put them. They’re very powdery. The shades are hit or miss in this palette, some are outstanding, some I’m just going to have to leave alone. For the price, that’s okay with me. Quality single shades, like the purple, gray, or blue, can cost $18.00 alone from other brands. While I would like every shade in the palette to be as fabulous as the purple, for $8 it’s not surprising that a few shades aren’t up to snuff.

One more aspect of the palette that is lacking, is the packaging. The packaging is plastic and cheap feeling, but I don’t think that a super fancy case is necessary for this palette. I don’t plan on traveling with the Club Tropicana palette and am more interested in the eyeshadows themselves, than the packaging.

Bottom Line: This palette has an unbelievable price for the overall quality. I love the rainbow of bright shimmery shades and highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a palette that is affordable and has great mix of bold color. Get it here.

Would you wear the bright and bold colors in this palette?

Lol, I’m still brainstorming a look to incorporate the bright greens into, but have already used all of the other shades! Any ideas?

      • July 13, 2017 / 8:29 am

Greens and blues generally go well together! Or green and a darker color like grey or black.. even the vibrant purple could probably work 🙂

      • July 13, 2017 / 9:01 am

I think I’ll try a green and blue look, thank you!
