GlossyBox May 2017 Subscription Box Review

May 2017 GlossyBox
This post will walk you through the experience of subscribing to GlossyBox, including each product in the May 2017 box, the cost of the box, and more. Here we go!

GlossyBox Subscription Box

You know your monthly GlossyBox has arrived when you have a black shipping box adorned with the GlossyBox logo all over it waiting for you on your porch.

Inside my May 2017 GlossyBox, I found the following products:

  • Spa to You Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush and Massager,
  • Rodial XXL Lip Liner in Nude,
  • Leighton Denny Expert Nails Nail Polish in Pillow Talk,
  • Tree Hut Skincare Exfoliating Mud Mask,
  • Vitry Nail Repair Care.

In addition to these products, there was a postcard with a promo code for Michael Todd Beauty on one side, and a promo code for sonicblend by Michael Todd Beauty on the other. There was also a poster-sized pamphlet with why each product was included in this month’s box and tips on how to use the products you received. Everyone who received a GlossyBox received 5 of the 6 products shown on this pamphlet in their box. I was a little bit disappointed to discover that I could have received Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer SPF 30 instead of 2 nail products.

The first product I pulled out of the adorably pink GlossyBox box was the Spa to You Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush and Massager. This brush is great for use at home and on the go. While cleansing your face, wet this brush and move it in a circular motion to deeply cleanse and gently massage your skin.
The next product I reached for was the Rodial XXL Lip Liner in Nude. This matte dusty pink lip liner is long-lasting and waterproof. Use it alone to define your lips or with your favorite nude lipstick.
I next grabbed the Leighton Denny Expert Nails Nail Polish in Pillow Talk. The color of this polish is a bit too berry and bright for me, but I tried it anyway and ended up liking it a lot. It’s great for Spring and Summer.
The  Tree Hut Skincare Exfoliating Mud Mask was the next product I opened right up. I’m a huge fan of masks, especially exfoliating masks! Thanks to ingredients, like black sand and kaolin, this mask will clean out your pores and promote clear skin.
The last beauty product I took out was the Vitry Nail Repair Care. This product is great for strengthening brittle nails.

The GlossyBox Break Down:

GlossyBox sends you 5 luxury beauty products on a monthly basis based on the results of the beauty profile you complete when you subscribe. I love that at least 3 of the 5 products you receive are full size!

  • 1 Month Plan – $21.00 per month
  • 3 Month Plan – $19.50 per month
  • 6 Month Plan – $18.50 per month
  • 12 Month Plan – $17.50 per month
  • Shipping is always free!

Cancellation: If you want to cancel your box after subscribing, you can do so on the GlossyBox website. In order to avoid a charge for the following month’s box, you must cancel by the 15th of the current month.

Bottom Line:  This box has a pretty good value and is packed with quality products. I’d like to receive a greater variety of products in my next box, but other than that, I’m happy!
