Bridal Showers bring brunch, games, and gifts to mind. While I opted out of one, it just wasn’t my style so I had a cocktail party instead, having a bridal shower is a time-honored tradition beloved by many brides.
Being invited to a bridal shower gives you the opportunity to dress super feminine in pastels and/or floral prints, whether you’re a member of the bridal party or simply an attendee. Think Spring when deciding what to wear to a bridal shower; sun dresses, jumpsuits, flowing blouses, and even a chic pair of dress pants are all appropriate options. For your shoes, opt for heeled sandals, nude heels, dressy flats, or dressy flat sandals. Top your look off with light, bright makeup and delicate jewelry. It should go without saying, but leave the jeans at home!
For inspiration and an example of a great look for a member of the wedding party or a guest, take a look at what I wore to my future sister-in-law’s beautiful bridal shower.
What I Wore:
- Rose Quartz Dress – Lulus.com
- Rings and Bracelets – Sugarfix by BaubleBar
- Shoes – ShoeDazzle.com
- Bralette – Target
Side note to the brides, you can wear whatever you want to your bridal shower! Go for an all white or ivory ensemble or wear one of your wedding colors. My wedding colors were deep purple and cornflower blue, so I wore a cornflower blue dress to my bridal shower/cocktail party.
