Step One: To speed up my makeup application, I skip eye shadow on my lid entirely and just add a touch of highlighter to the inner and outer corners of my eyes. This little trick brightens the look of your eyes. For this mini-highlight, try one of the light and shimmery shades in the Lime Crime Venus Eyeshadow Palette. I’d recommend Aura or Shell from that palette. You can see those shades and the whole palette here.
Step Two: To illuminate my eyes even more, I line my top lash line and the outer corner of my lower lash line only. I do this with black eyeliner and then I line the rest of my bottom lash line with white eyeliner. To accomplish this try theBalm Schwing Liquid Eyeliner along your top lash line. Along the outer corner of your lower lash line, try e.l.f. Black/Smoke Eyeliner & Shadow Stick. For a white liner on the inner corner of your lower lash line, try NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk.
Step Three: I apply mascara only were I’ve applied eyeliner. This may seem complicated, but once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy to do. I love theBalm Mad Lash Mascara.
Step Four: I keep things pretty simple on the rest of my face too. I apply a highlighter to my cheek bones (try Marc Jacobs Glow Stick), fill in my brows, apply a lip balm, and voilà!
To fill in your brows try the Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Brow Wiz’ Mechanical Brow Pencil and for a simple lip balm, I’d go for Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15.
Here’s the result!
