Everyday Makeup Routine

If I don't have a lot of time or if I just want to keep my makeup look clean and simple, this everyday makeup routine is what I do.

To speed up my makeup application, I skip eyeshadow on my lid entirely and just add a touch of highlighter to the inner and outer corners of my eyes. This little trick brightens the look of your eyes. For this mini-highlight, try one of the light and shimmery shades in the Carli Bybel – 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette. This palette is only $14.50 and is very useful in creating this look.

To illuminate my eyes even more, I line my top lash line and the outer corner of my lower lash line only. I do this with black eyeliner andΒ  then I line the rest of my bottom lash line with white eyeliner. To accomplish this try Stila ‘Stay All Day’ Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Black along your top lash line. Along the outer corner of my lower lash line, try Nars Eyeliner Pencil in Black Moon. For a white liner on the inner corner of your lower lash line, try NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk.

I apply mascara only were I’ve applied eyeliner. This may seem complicated, but once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy to do. I love Dior Diorshow Lash-Extension Effect Volume Mascara in Black.

I keep things pretty simple on the rest of my face too. I apply a highlighter to my cheek bones (this is where you can use that palette again!), fill in my brows, apply a lip balm, and voilΓ ! To fill in your brows try the Skone Cosmetics Brow Wand and for a simple lip balm, I’d go for the Carmex Comfort Care Colloidal Oatmeal Lip Balm. Here’s the result!

What do you think? Doable or a little too complicated?
