This outfit of the day (OOTD) was put together with going to breakfast and the movies on a chilly morning in mind. My family and I love The Lego Movie and we collectively love Batman even more. When I heard that there was going to be a Lego Batman movie, I was ecstatic! We had to go opening weekend, because I couldn’t wait to see it. We also had to work seeing the movie into our 1 and 1/2 year old’s schedule so we would have the best chances possible of her making it through a majority of the movie. We always have to take her out of the theater here and there, but she does tend to make it to the credits. To make this all happen, we went to breakfast in Downtown Redwood City at Cafe La Tartine, ran around the Courthouse Square (breakfast was way faster than we anticipated), and then headed into the Century 20 Theater to see the movie. More on all that after some pics of my outfit for this outing!
What I’m Wearing:
- Sweater – Express
- Top (under sweater) – Zara
- Scarf – Moschino
- Jeans – Top Shop
- Booties – Nine West
- Diaper Bag – Henri Bendel
- Coffee – From Cafe La Tartine
Cafe La Tartine is a wonderful spot to grab quick and delectable meals, drinks, and/or desserts. Order at the counter and your meal, drinks, and/or pastries will be brought to the table of your choosing when they are ready. There is seating inside the cafe, but I recommend sitting outside under the lighted palm trees.
Courthouse Square is a gathering place in downtown Redwood City that is the heart of all of the events held there. The morning that we were running around, the Lunar New Year Celebration was being set up. While testing the sound, my little one busted out a little dance, it was delightful. If not for nap time, we would have hung out after the movie to enjoy the celebration. I’m really looking forward to the Redwood City 150th Anniversary Event that will be held in the square on May 20th!
The LEGO Batman Movie hilarious, it was clearly written with parents in mind. It isn’t inappropriate, it just has a ton of Batman and nerd references that would go straight over kids’ heads. Unless, they’re super nerdy too! My husband and I greatly appreciated all of the obscure references, and the little one was entertained, gotta love that! I’m sure we’ll be watching this movie 100+ times in the future, and I’m okay with that.
